Over the past number of years The Green Line Cafe has established itself as a respected venue for viewing art, and with hundreds of customers at our locations each day, the art is definitely seen. The exhibition schedule is directed by Green Line co-owner Douglas Witmer, an internationally exhibiting visual artist. We rotate exhibitions at all of our locations. Shows are typically 2-3 months long. We have shown work by artists from around the country, however we prioritize submissions from Philadelphia-area artists. We also welcome themed proposals by guest curators and community groups.
WE REVIEW ART SHOW PROPOSALS ON A ROLLING BASIS–PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR WORK:
–Email us 10 LO-RES images of work you would plan on exhibiting at the Green Line if offered a show. Be sure to include media/size info for the works, your contact info, bio/resume, and optional artist statement.
–E-mail us a link to your website where the above information can easily be found.
–Artists who are offered a show will be asked to sign an exhibition contract with the Cafe. You decide if the works are for sale and set your prices. We take a 25% commission.
–You can view/download the exhibition contract HERE.

Please do not send or drop off physical materials (packets, CDs, etc).
Each submission will be given our personal attention, however we are unable to respond to submissions unless we are interested in showing your work. Sometimes this can take a while. It’s not personal, it’s just how it goes.
Please do not call the cafe about art submissions. The staff working behind the counter will not be able to help you.
