Paul Siegell is the author of 2009′s jambandbootleg and 2008′s Poemergency Room. He is a copywriter at The Philadelphia Inquirer & Daily News, a staff editor at Painted Bride Quarterly, and has contributed to The American Poetry Review, Coconut, Rattle and many other fine journals. Paul has also been featured in the Philadelphia City Paper, Paste Magazine, Relix Magazine and Bookslut, and he also has a new book coming out extremely soon called wild life rifle fire. Charles Carr, a native Philadelphian, grew up in Southwest Germantown. Charles began writing poetry roughly five years ago, and has since won the Mad Poets 2008 First Place Prize for his poem Waiting For Them to Come North. His first book of poems, paradise, pennsylvania , published by Cradle Press of St. Louis Charles, was released in September.

He is preparing his second book, Haitian Mud Pies, which is scheduled for summer of 2010. Charles recites his poems in many venues across the City. Through his work in social services, he advocates on behalf of the poor of Haiti, promoting and fund raising for Fonkoze USA, a foundation that provides banking for the poor and provides micro financing to poor woman in rural Haiti as a way out of poverty. The proceeds from the sale of Charles’ recent book paradise, pennsylvania are dedicated to the work of Fonkoze, USA.
