A scene with Daniel Eric Gold (from Ugly Betty)
Here are some scenes from the movie shoot at The Green Line on May 26 for the feature film Cafe. The movie is set for release in 2010. Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy star in the indie drama from writer-director Marc Erlbaum, who wrote much of the movie back in his days at a frequent customer at The Green Line! Alexa Vega, Madeline Carroll, Daniel Eric Gold and Hubble Palmer also appear as part of an ensemble of Philadelphia residents who frequent the local West Philly Grounds coffee shop where Hewitt’s character Claire works. Sean Covel and Chris “Doc” Wyatt (“Napoleon Dynamite”) and J. Andrew Greenblatt (“Explicit Ills”) are producing.
It was a long but fun day for us, basically hanging around and watching the process. This was the second to last day of shooting for the film, and Jennifer Love Hewitt’s parts were finished. So we didn’t get to meet her or Jamie Kennedy, but we did get to meet several of the other cast!

This is how the cafe looks to your average movie camera coming in for coffee.

This is what they renamed the cafe for the film (the head set designer worked on This is Spinal Tap...yes, he made the mini-Stonehenge!)
